UPC Hungary appoints new CEO

Magnus Ternsjö has been appointed CEO of UPC Hungary, replacing Saverina Pascu, who will be the managing director of the CEE region of mother company Liberty Global, a position she has been partly handling since July, an announcement issued today reveals.

Ternsjö (pictured) is to take over the lead as of November 1. He has been working at UPC Ireland, currently called Virgin Media, as CEO since 2013. He was involved in the launching of UPC’s Horizon platform in Ireland, the restructuring of the business, the transformation of UPC Ireland into Virgin Media and the introduction of Virgin Mobile.

In his new position he will lead the Hungarian activities of UPC and support the development of CEE region led by Pascu. She will be responsible for Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania.
