The five-star Hilton Budapest has been named “Hungary’s Leading Hotel” at the World Travel Awards Europe 2018.

The 25th edition of the awards saw Hilton properties sweep 19 titles. This year’s European gala took place in Athens, Greece on June 30. Hilton Budapest, located in the capital’s Castle District in Buda, won the title of “Hungary’s Leading Hotel” through the votes of international travel and tourism professionals.

“It is an honor to have been recognized by the World Travel Awards 2018,” says Zoltán Árvai, general manager of the 322-room Budapest Hilton. “The award is testament to the genuine passion and dedication our hotel puts into going the extra mile for our guests. Thank you to all of our amazing team members at Hilton Budapest who are the heart of Hilton; without them we wouldn’t have been recognized for this great achievement.”

The hotel’s recognition highlighted its newly renovated interior, as well as its commitment to quality leisure and conference facilities including various indoor and outdoor venues, meeting rooms for a range of different events, and hotel rooms with a view.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence in the sector. According to the organizers, they are recognized as the “ultimate hallmark of quality worldwide”.
