Real estate developer Wing has announced the acquisition of multiple buildings in Budaʼs Infopark from Lone Star Funds - Hudson Global Advisors, enhancing the firmʼs presence on the South Buda market, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
Wing announced the acquisition of office buildings B, C and I, as well as neighboring parking garages B and D. The gross leasable area of the office category "A" buildings, built in the early to mid-noughties, is more than 30,000 square meters. Together with building D, acquired last year, Wing is now the majority owner of Infopark, possessing more than 50,000 sqm of area.
Wing says that the main attraction of the buildings is that the transaction involves garages, a restaurant, and a roof garden. Wing intends to use the buildings by leasing them, which might become a reality in the near future, due to prior negotiations.
"The acquisition fits perfectly into the companyʼs long-term strategy, thanks to which we have an increasingly significant real estate profile in the increasingly concentrated South Buda office market," said Wing President and CEO Noah Steinberg. "Apart from the three excellent Infopark buildings acquired via the recent transaction, Wing also possesses the Infopark D office building, the Ericsson House developed and delivered by us, and the Siemens-evosoft headquarters under development as well."
