C&W: Budapest offers 1.9 mln sqm industrial space

Industrial

The Hungarian capital has a total of 1.9 million square meters of industrial space on offer, and has followed the regional trend of growth in available space for lease in the CEE region, real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) said in a report yesterday.

Budapest finished in third place, following Warsaw’s almost 3 million sqm and Prague’s approximately 2.3 million sqm of industrial space to let, while the region in general saw a 25% rise in terms of available industrial space in the period 2013-2016.

“Based on occupancy statistics, vacancy rates in certain places, such as Kraków, Bucharest, Poznań and Budapest, were down by more than 50% in the period,” Ferdinand Hlobil of Cushman & Wakefield said.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
