Hungary to open diplomatic trade mission in Panama

Hungary will open a diplomatic trade mission in Panama, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó told state news agency MTI by telephone from Panama City on Wednesday.

Magyar Eximbank will open a USD 160 million credit line to support partnerships between businesses in Hungary and Panama, Szijjártó said. He added that frequent droughts in the west of the country present a good opportunity for Hungarian companies in water management.

Szijjártó is scheduled to meet later with Panamaʼs Minister of Commerce Nestor Gonzalez, Vice President Isabel Saint Malo, Roman Catholic Archbishop José Domingo Ulloa Mendieta, and President Juan Carlos Varela.
