"The agreement, which is being prepared by the two governments, will be the framework, and it is up to the businesspeople to fulfill it with new jobs," president of Serbia's Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, said in a press release, following a meeting with UAE Minister for Foreign Trade Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi on Monday.
The second round of negotiations on the free trade agreement will be held by the end of October, Cadez added.
In January, the Serbian government and UAE signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) on the development of hydrogen and other renewable energy sources.
