EBRD Lends Serbian SMEs EUR 107 mln Since 2019

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development said it has channeled EUR 107 million worth of loans to Serbian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) under the SME Competitiveness Programme since 2019.

The program offers SMEs access to EBRD loans and European Union grants, through local commercial banks, for investing in business improvements to reach EU standards and increase competitiveness in the areas of energy efficiency and environmental protection, health and safety, and product safety and quality, the EBRD said in a statement.

An additional EUR 9.5 million has been disbursed under the program in incentive grants from the EU, according to the statement.
