The cooperation agreement for the 2021-2028 period is expected to be signed shortly, according to leading online daily economic news publication Világgazdaság.

The funding package totals EUR 254.1 million, equivalent to more than HUF 92 billion, and will primarily support green investments, local community programs, cultural projects, social inclusion initiatives, and healthcare and institutional development.

Norway provides about 97% of the grant system’s financing.

Hungary missed out on nearly HUF 78 bln in the previous funding cycle because the former Fidesz government disagreed with the donor countries over how to manage the civil society funds.
