Romania, Bulgaria 'Deserved' Schengen Accession - Szijjártó

Romania and Bulgaria both "deserved" admittance to the European Union's passport-free Schengen zone, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a post on Facebook on Friday.
Szijjártó acknowledged Romania's and Bulgaria's "strong defense" of their borders and the scale of their efforts to put a stop to illegal migration.
He noted that Austria and the Netherlands had vetoed the countries' Schengen accession, while EU member states unanimously approved admittance for Croatia to the zone.
