Hungary's government has promulgated an agreement with China on establishing the Intergovernmental Belt and Road Cooperation Committee in a decree in a recent issue of the official Magyar Közlöny [Hungarian Gazette].
The committee will be based on the existing Hungary-China Belt and Road Working Group.
Its goal will be to "further deepen the Hungary-China comprehensive strategic partnership, promote common interests in multiple cooperation areas such as economy, trade, agriculture, finance, investment, connectivity, transport, telecommunication, education, science and technology, public health, culture, and tourism, and strengthen mutual understanding in the political field," according to Magyar Közlöny.
