Gov't Providing Higher Stipend, Free Meals to Nat'l Defense Students

The government is providing a higher stipend and free meals to students in national defense schools, that is, those under public education and vocational training institutions under the control of the Ministry of Defense, according to hrportal.hu.
The government decree to this effect was published in the official gazette Magyar Közlöny.
From the second half of the ninth grade, depending on their academic average, the cadets will receive a monthly scholarship of HUF 16,000-67,000. The scholarships will be changed retroactively until February 1, the difference will be reimbursed to the students in one sum, until the 60th day after the announcement of the change, they added.
