Ryanair to cut Budapest flights by 40% because of high fees
Irish low-fare carrier Ryanair will cut its Budapest flights by 40% from January because airport operator Budapest Airport has not reduced fees by the requested amount, Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary said at a press conference in the capital on Thursday. Ryanair will stop operating flights between Budapest and ten destinations, reducing passenger numbers by 800,000, Mr O'Leary said. He added that talks with Budapest Airport's management would restart after the press conference.
