Szijjártó discusses Hungary-Kazakhstan economic ties

Int’l Relations

Excellent political cooperation between Hungary and Kazakhstan will lay the ground work for strengthening economic relations between the two countries, Hungary’s foreign minister Péter Szijjártó announced at a bilateral business conference in Astana today.

According to the minister, Kazakhstan is “an important trade partner” for Hungary and an “abundance of opportunities” makes strengthening economic ties possible.

Szijjártó also announced two agreements aimed at further developing cooperation: The establishment of a strategic council, which is expected to improve political relations, and a financial fund, which will create smooth cooperation between Hungarian and Kazakh companies with support from Hungaryʼs Eximbank.
