Launched in August 2025, Wolt Capital offers financing to restaurants and retailers operating on the platform through Wolt’s lending infrastructure partner, finmid. The program aims to provide fast, transparent financing solutions to help businesses invest in growth, respond to rising demand and build more predictable operations in line with market needs.

Dozens of Hungarian businesses have used the program so far. According to Wolt, nearly a dozen partners have already fully repaid the financing they received under Wolt Capital, and several of them have since applied again for additional funding.

According to feedback from participating merchants, the financing has been used primarily for business development and equipment purchases, covering operating costs, as well as marketing and promotional activities.

“For Wolt, it is extremely important not only to operate as a platform but also to support Hungarian businesses as a true partner. We launched Wolt Capital with the aim of providing access to fast, flexible and predictable financing solutions for merchants who want to grow. The EUR 1 million milestone clearly shows that we are responding to a real market need,” said Orsolya Hartyányi, managing director of Wolt Hungary.

Wolt also conducted an anonymous survey among partners participating in the program. Based on the responses, businesses most frequently used the financing for business development and equipment procurement (21.7%), covering operating costs (21.5%), and marketing and promotions (19.5%).

The company said Wolt Capital reflects its long-term commitment to Hungary’s economy and to the development of the hospitality and retail sectors. In addition to digital platform, logistics, infrastructure and marketing support, the program aims to strengthen competitiveness and sustainable growth in the sector by providing access to financial tools.
