Slovakia Industrial Output Recovers in October

Industrial production in Slovakia advanced 4.3% year-on-year in October, recovering from a downwardly revised 0.2% fall in September, the Bratislava-based Slovak Statistical Office (SÚSR) said in a statement on Monday.

Output rebounded for manufacturing (4.2% vs -0.6% in September), mainly due to an acceleration in manufacture of chemical & chemical products (28.1% vs 2.5%), electrical equipment (12.1% vs 9.4%), and transport equipment (12.1% vs 0.4%).

Moreover, production picked up for mining & quarrying (28.8% vs 19.7%) and electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (4.0% vs 2.7%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output grew 0.6% in October.
