Serbian wages and salaries increase in March

Average gross salaries and wages in Serbia rose to RSD 102,781 (EUR 874.75) in March while average net salaries and wages amounted to RSD 74,664 (EUR 635), figures from the Central Statistical Office (SORS) showed on Wednesday.

Compared to the same month last year, average gross salaries and wages increased by 14.3% in nominal terms and by 4.8% in real terms, while average net salaries and wages increased by 14.4% in nominal terms and by 4.9% in real terms, according to the Belgrade-based agency.

Median net salaries and wages for March amounted to RSD 55,146 (EUR 469). The increase of gross and net salaries and wages in the first quarter of 2022, relative to the same period last year amounted to 13.4% in nominal terms and 4.3% in real terms.
