Regional disparities in Hungary between net average wages remain relatively large, state news wire MTI reports, citing data from Q1-Q3 2020 compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

Hungarians in counties in the northwest of the country took home HUF 254,000-HUF 272,000 per month on average, while those working in the underdeveloped northeast of the country earned HUF 181,000-215,000.

The highest earners in Hungary worked in Budapest, taking home HUF 327,000 per month on average.
