Number of Debt Collection Procedures Reaches 419,000 in 2023
The number of debt collection procedures launched in Hungary rose 2.5% to 419,000 last year, the Hungarian National Chamber of Notaries Public (Mokk) said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Around 99% the procedures were initiated by factors, public utilities companies, and mobile telecommunications service providers, the chamber said.
Most of the procedures involved unpaid amounts between HUF 10,000 and HUF 3 million.
