Nearly 5,000 Fewer Companies in March

Figures

There were nearly 5,000 fewer companies in March compared to December last year, reports piacesprofit.hu based on data from Opten.

In March, 30% fewer companies were founded than in the past, an ongoing trend for six months.

Compared to the March values of previous years, this year saw the highest number of terminations, 3,699, which is 26% more than the average of the last six years.

Some 70% of the terminations were due to liquidation, which started in high numbers, mainly after the changes to the simplified Kata system for small taxpayers.
