Montenegrin real avg net wage falls in March

Montenegro's average net monthly earnings went down 3.6% month-on-month in March, after rising by 1.4% in February, figures from the Podgorica-based Central Statistical Office (Monstat) showed.

Net earnings rose by an annual 33.8% in March, after growing by 33.5% in February.

The average net earnings in Montenegro amounted to EUR 704 in March, down from EUR 706 in February.

Montenegro's gross average wage totaled EUR 868 in March.

The country's government increased the minimum wage in 2022 to EUR 450 from EUR 250 in January.
