Life Satisfaction in Hungary Just Shy of EU Average

People in Hungary rated their overall life satisfaction at 6.9 points on a scale of zero to 10 in 2022, a fraction under the 7.1 average for the European Union, according to data from the EU statistical agency Eurostat.
The subjective well-being indicator stood at 7.4 points in the Czech Republic, 7.7 in Poland, and 7 in Slovakia.
The indicator was 6.5 points in Germany and 7.9 in Austria, the highest recorded in the EU.
Eurostat acknowledged that life satisfaction may be influenced by factors such as age, level of education, family and financial situation, as well as a diversity of experiences, choices, priorities, and values.
