Home Insurance Premiums Avg HUF 56,000 in Hungary
The average home insurance premium in Hungary stood at an annual HUF 56,400 in the fourth quarter, state news wire MTI reports, citing data published by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Wednesday.
The data, compiled for the first time, show the average premium climbed 18% in a year.
MNB noted that the average premium for policies it has certified "consumer friendly" was 9.5pc under the market average during the period.
The central bank and financial market regulator will publish the home insurance premium data on a quarterly basis.
