A study by the Media Council of the National Media and Communications Authority (NMHH) found that during the first half of the year, 3,051 new advertisements appeared on TV, which were repeated 4.2 million times, according to business daily Világgazdaság.

The NMHH's communications directorate examined 76 television broadcasts during the study, which also found that just over half (55.6%) of all advertisements were new, a slightly higher rate than last year.

New commercials most often came to viewers' attention on general entertainment channels (such as Viasat3, Cool TV, and Comedy Central).

Those who suffer from insomnia were the first to see the new commercials.
