Albania's EU-harmonized annual inflation flat in August

Albania's annual harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) rose by 2.7% in August, at the same level as in the previous month, the Tirana-based Institute of Statistics (Instat) said on Monday.
The strongest upward push on annual inflation in August came from a 4.9% rise in the harmonized index of prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, followed by communication with a 2.8% rise.
On a monthly comparison basis, HICP edged up 0.2% in August, after remaining unchanged the previous month. Albania's non-harmonized consumer price inflation accelerated to 2.4% year-on-year in August, from 2.2% in July, the statistics agency said early this month.
