6,278 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 102,566, with 6,278 new cases and 152 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 15,476.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 446,178 up from 439,900 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 328,136.

Currently, 6,554 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 639 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,749,907 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 41,440 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 45,554.

Until now, 785,440 people have been vaccinated, and 267,153 of them have already received the second dose as well.
