12,637 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 12,637 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday bringing the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,044,852 according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.
A total of 176 patients died yesterday, raising the coronavirus death toll in Hungary to 33,519.
The number of recovered patients rose to 856,330, while the number of active cases stands at 155,003.
Some 6,840 infected people are currently hospitalized, and 664 of them require ventilation.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,057,367, of whom 5,808,536 have already received their second vaccination. About 2.043 million people have already received their third vaccination.
