1,890 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 251,077, with 1,890 new cases and 170 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.
The death toll has increased to 22,098.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 691,743 up from 689,853 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 418,568.
Currently, 12,007 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,440 of whom are on ventilators.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 128,770. Pest County is the second most affected, with 97,014 cases, followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron County (38,969 cases).
So far 4,783,383 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 44,172 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 60,864.
According to the website, a total of 2,432,313 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 922,886.
