1,513 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 112,951, with 1,513 new cases and 111 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 11,177.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 349,149 up from 347,636 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 225,021.

Currently, 4,600 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 337 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 2,918,096 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 25,678 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 65,375. Pest County is the second most affected, with 43,434 cases, followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron County (19,806 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 25,346.

Some 105,728 people have been vaccinated until Thursday night, the website notes.
