While 64% of company leaders anticipated higher taxes and contributions in Q2 2025, this share has dropped to 56%, and the proportion expecting decreases has doubled to 6%.

Another 29% foresee no change in the next 12 months.

Mid‑sized firms with annual revenues of between HUF 101 million and HUF 300 mln are the most optimistic, with only 52% expecting increases, compared with 57% among companies earning HUF 20 mln–100 mln, and 59% among those generating HUF 300 mln–2 bln.

The share of businesses that feel public charges negatively affect their operations is also declining, supported by improved perceptions of government measures, which rose to +7 points, representing a 14‑point year‑on‑year improvement.
