Andrea Szabó, the director of the HUN-REN Center for Social Sciences, which coordinated the survey with the support of the National Youth Council and the cooperation of the National Union of Students in Hungary (HÖOK), said the ratio was up from 33% in 2019 and 37% in 2015.
The ratio of Hungarian youth who want to study abroad stands close to one-fourth, she added, presenting the survey results at the Efott music festival on Saturday.
The survey, of 805 university students conducted early in 2024, indicates that the political activity of Hungarian youth is on the increase.
