Analysts at MBH Bank, Hungary's second-biggest lender, are sticking to their forecast for GDP growth of 2.7% this year, chief analyst Zoltán Árokszállási said on Thursday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
A pick-up in household consumption could be the main driver of the economic recovery this year, Árokszállási said. Next year, GDP growth could be above 4%, he added.
The government's official forecast for 2024 GDP growth is 2.5%.
MBH Bank analysts see average inflation falling to 3.8% this year and 3.5% in 2025.
