K&H survey: SMEs increasingly optimistic

Despite the pandemic, small- and medium-sized enterprises are increasingly optimistic about the next year, K&H said, citing its first-quarter research, according to origo.hu.
According to the survey, the SME Confidence Index rose by five points to 14 points by early 2021, approaching the 17-point all-time peak last measured in 2019.
K&H explained the improvement by stating that entrepreneurs generally have a positive view of economic policy and expect more EU funding. In addition to business support programs, the rural development program and housing renovation support also benefited many companies.
Compared to the previous quarter, the biggest improvement was measured in services and industry.
