The forint weakened to 281.05 from 280.75 against the dollar. The forint showed mixed but tight movement against the dollar on Tuesday. Trading was characterized by small loses following small gains but in the late afternoon the forint gave way.
The forint traded at 288.14 to the Swiss franc, down from 286.97. The Swiss franc peaked against the forint at 11am in the morning. The forint somewhat recovered in the next few hours but by late afternoon it was again softening compared to the franc.
