Business Chamber Confidence Index Climbs

The quarterly business confidence index of the Economic Research Institute (GVI) of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) rose to +24 points in April from +4 points in October, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The index signals a return to pre-pandemic levels of confidence, MKIK GVI said.
Optimism was highest among big companies, exporters, and foreign-owned businesses.
The survey of 2,061 executives augurs higher headcounts at companies in the coming six months.
