Rise of farm gate prices slows to 18.5% in Nov

Farm gate prices in Hungary rose 18.5% year-on-year in November, slowing after climbing more than 20% in the previous two months, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Monday.

The price of crops rose 25.0% during the period, decelerating after jumping 33.3% in October. The price of live animals and animal products was up 7.5%. Among crops, cereal prices rose 31.1% and potato prices jumped 87.6%.
The price of fresh eggs rose 34.9%, hog prices increased 6.8% and poultry prices were up 12.5%, but milk prices were practically flat.
