Moody’s decision on Hungary anticipated eagerly

Ratings

This eveningʼs rating decision by credit rating agency Moody’s is being closely watched in Hungary, and by investors with an interest in the country, as the market expects a possible upgrade, according to Hungarian online daily hvg.hu. Standard & Poor’s and Fitch Ratings have already upgraded Hungary this year.

Tonight’s decision will be the third and last rating by Moody’s this year. At the previous two ratings by Moody’s on March 4 and July 8, Hungary’s rating was kept unchanged.

London-based analysts see the possibility of Moody’s upgrading the credit rating of Hungary, following upgrades by Standard & Poor’s and Fitch Ratings earlier this year.
