JATO Dynamics reports car sales up in April
Car sales in Hungary were up by 20%, and those of small utility vehicles grew by 68% year-on-year in April, automotive industry information service JATO Dynamics reported on Monday. Cars sold numbered 5,568 in April, 928 more than a year ago, while 1,240 under-3.5 ton utility vehicles were newly registered, 502 more than a year earlier. Opel sold 728 cars; Skoda, 634; and Ford, 576.
On the market of cars and small utility vehicles combined, Ford was market leader with 812 units sold, or 11.6% of the total, then came Opel, Skoda, Volkswagen and Suzuki.
