Forint softens to EUR, CHF, firms to USD

The forint was trading at 311.83 to the euro at 5:30pm on Tuesdayʼs interbank forex market, down from 310.95 late on Monday.

The forint slipped against the euro during the session, from 310.47 in the morning to as far as 313.04 in the afternoon before gaining some strength early evening.

The forint traded at 275.67 to the dollar, firming from 278.17 Monday. The dollar took a beating on Tuesday as its rate fell from as high as 278.53 forints to 275.39 forints.

The forint weakened to 283.70 from 281.84 against the Swiss franc. The franc closely tracked the euro and similarly strengthened against the forint during the day before losing some of its gains in the early evening. The francʼs rate moved between 281.15 forints and 284.95 forints.
