Trade Surplus Confirmed at EUR 1.568 bln in June

Hungary's trade surplus reached EUR 1.568 billion in June, widening from EUR 1.153 bln in May, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a second reading of data on Friday.
Exports rose 12.6% year-on-year to EUR 13.565 bln. Imports decreased 4.1% to EUR 11.997 bln, falling for the third month in a row after climbing for over two years.
Hungary's terms of trade improved 5.4% as the forint firmed 6.6% to the euro and 8.9% against the dollar.
Trade with other European Union member states accounted for 77% of Hungary's exports and 71% of its imports during the month.
In January-June, Hungary's exports increased 11.5% year-on-year to EUR 77.449 bln, while imports rose 1.3% to EUR 73.086 bln. The trade surplus reached EUR 4.363 bln.
