Hungary Trade Surplus Hits EUR 1.5 bln in June

Hungary's surplus on the external trade in goods amounted to EUR 1.5 billion in June, according to data by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The value of exports was 11% higher, while that of imports was 4.7% lower in EUR terms in June 2023 than in the same period of 2022.

The balance of the external trade in goods improved by EUR 1.9 bln year-on-year.

The share of EU Member States was 77% in exports and 71% in imports.

Compared to May 2022, the level of export increased by 2.9% and the import of goods grew by 0.2%.
