Hungary Trade Surplus at EUR 308 mln in April

Hungary's surplus on the external trade in goods amounted to EUR 308 million in April 2023, according to data by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The value of export was 3.4% higher, while that of import 4% lower in EUR terms in April 2023 than in the same period of the previous year. The balance of the external trade in goods improved by EUR 836 million.

The value of exports amounted to EUR 11.5 billion, that of imports to EUR 11.2 bln.

The share of EU Member States was 78% in exports and 68% in imports.

Compared to the previous month, the level of export in goods decreased by 19% and the import of goods lessened by 16%.
