Deficit on external trade in goods amounts at EUR 196 mln in Jan

The deficit on external trade in goods stood at EUR 196 million in January, with the value of imports growing faster than that of exports compared to the first month of 2021, according to a report by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The value of exports was 15% and that of imports 31% larger in EUR terms in January 2022 than in January 2021.

The value of exports amounted to EUR 10.288 billion and that of imports to EUR 10.485 billion.

The share of EU Member States was 77% in exports and 71% in imports.
