Czech trade balance surplus slows in December

The Czech Republic registered a surplus of CZK 17.718 billion (some EUR 689.6 million) in December compared to a deficit of CZK 8.225 billion in the same month a year earlier, data from the statistical office showed Monday.
In November, the trade surplus was CZK 33.133 billion.
Exports rose 18% annually in December and imports grew 7.4%. In 2020, trade surplus was CZK 190 billion (EUR 7.39 billion).
Exports and imports declined 4.5% and 5.9%, respectively.
