MNB Business Confidence Index Edges Higher in December

The business confidence index of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) rose to -5 points in December from -7 points in the previous month, the central bank said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The gauge of companies' outlooks climbed to +1 point from 0 point, and the measure of their assessment of the current situation increased to -11 points from -14 points.

The indicator for companies' propensity to make investments slipped to +18 points from +24 points. The sub-index for headcount rose to +2 points from -3 points.
