Investment Fund Subscriptions at HUF 295 bln in February

Net subscription of units of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 295 billion in February, according to monthly data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on its website this week.

The net subscription was up from HUF 254 bln in January but under the HUF 438 bln figure recorded in December. 

The net asset value (NAV) of Hungarian investment funds reached HUF 13.457 trillion at the end of February. Price changes added HUF 28 bln to NAV, but exchange rate changes subtracted HUF 44 bln during the month. 

The investment fund NAV was up from HUF 10.289 tln 12 months earlier. Equities funds had the biggest NAV (at HUF 3.852 tln), followed by fixed income funds (HUF 3.084 tln), real estate funds (HUF 3.046 tln), and mixed funds (HUF 2.06 tln). 

There were 870 investment funds under the oversight of the MNB in February.
