Insurers' revenue from premiums climbs 11.5% in H1

Hungarian insurers' first-half revenue from premiums rose 11.5% year-on-year to HUF 683.8 billion, data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Friday show.

Revenue from premiums on life policies increased 18.1% to HUF 306.3 bln. Premiums revenue from general insurance policies climbed 6.6% to HUF 377.5 bln.

Compulsory vehicle insurance policies brought in HUF 137.8 bln, up 3.5%. Comprehensive vehicle insurance policies generated revenue from premiums of HUF 60.1 bln, up 7.6%.

Home and property insurance premiums revenue increased 7.8% to HUF 75.7 bln.

Revenue from premiums on travel insurance policies plunged 35.9% to HUF 2.4 bln.
