According to GKI Economic Research, the number of borrowers of housing or construction loans may decrease this year, writes profitline.hu.

This is because the number of potential borrowers has narrowed, and in recent years many have already met their needs in this area.

According to data cited from the Central Statistical Office and the National Bank of Hungary, the total housing loan stock in Hungary increased by 41% in four years after 2016, while the number of housing loans stagnated.
