60% of Hungarians use bank cards daily

Banking

Some 58% of Hungarian banking customers use their card daily for in-store payments, and 72% of those surveyed pay this way several times a month, according to Mastercard, writes profitline.hu.

The Free Association researched card usage patterns in November 2021 on behalf of Mastercard.

The survey is representative of the population aged 18-65 living in the city with a bank account.

According to the study, the pandemic has brought about a radical change in daily payment habits, as many have turned to safer, more digital payment methods than cash.

The research showed that the changes proved to be lasting in Hungary.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
