Hungary’s Magyar Gumi-újrahasznosító opened its HUF 1.1 billion tire-shredding plant in Tamási (SW Hungary) on Friday. The plant has a capacity to process 10,000 tons of tires a year. The European Union contributed HUF 494 million to the cost of building the plant.
