Almost three-fourths of mid-sized and big Hungarian companies said they would not raise spending on research and development until the regulatory environment changes, a survey by consultancy Deloitte shows.
About 9% of companies in the survey of almost 500 said they would cut R&D spending.
Hungarian companies spend less on R&D in comparison with companies from other countries in the region.
Hungary’s government aims to raise R&D spending in the country from 1% to 1.8% of GDP by 2020.
